Self Representation

The law allows you to file any pleadings without the assistance of an attorney. The Clerk of Court is prohibited by law from assisting you. If there are children or property involved, we suggest that you consult with an attorney before you file any paperwork on your own.  Below you will find sample copies of petitions that are provided by the Louisiana Supreme Court to aid those that choose to represent themselves.
